Ferry André de la Porte
Photographer
Ferry André de la Porte has built up a classical photographic oeuvre that is not limited to one direction or genre. His photos generally don’t show much. Just as in a piece of music the moments of silence are an indispensable part of the whole, so ‘absence’ in his photos often plays an unimaginable role. In addition, André de la Porte provides an important place for the curious; he can genuinely marvel at things that other people mindlessly pass by. His astonishment is almost always accompanied by a mild smile. The atmosphere that many of his photos radiate can be called tranquil and often borders on the surreal.
At Dialogue Ferry will be offering analogue black white prints on barite paper.
