Picturalia specializes in early twentieth-century photography.
At the Dialogue fair we will present, among other things, original pieces of the pictorialist photographers Rudolf Dührkoop and Henri Berssenbrugge. Of portrait photographers such as Jacob Merkelbach, Max Büttinghausen and Godfried de Groot. And of exile photographers Hanna Elkan, Kurt Kahle, Gregory Harlip and Suse Byke.
One of our highlights is an album by the Western Union Telegraph Company at Beursplein 5 in Amsterdam (now home of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange). With large interior photos by the renowned Dutch photographer Jacob Merkelbach. Also unique is the display album of photo studio Koene & Büttinghausen to show customers samples of their photographic work.
But visitors with a small budget can also indulge themselves with the many family photos, snapshots, photo albums and (glass) negatives.
